We just wanted to announce a new information source in and for Calvert and visitors.
- CalvertTexas.net on the Web and a corresponding Facebook Page, also called CalvertTexas.net have launched!
- Eventually we are looking to have a print edition as well to complement the digital stuff.
- It’s all about Calvert businesses, events, news, organizations, achievements, projects and people. It’s about getting the Calvert brand spread far and wide.
The intent of this project is not to replace organizations , missions and information that is currently out there.
- It is to provide a centralized location to summarize information from organizations, non-profits, event sponsors and other local businesses and groups and then to direct residents and visitors to them for the detail they are looking for.
- It is not to replace what’s out there, but to let you know what’s out there and show you how to get to it.

Calvert brick & mortar businesses now have another place to promote their business,
for free.
- We have taken the liberty of listing some businesses and have added some limited content and links to those businesses.
- If we missed you, it wasn't on purpose, it's just our memory has failed us.
- We will list you on the appropriate page for your type of business with links to your website, Facebook page, Instagram account, etc.
- If you wish, we will create one page for your business on our site with content you provide but will still provide links to the sites you manage.
- We will post pictures you provide for a static display or slideshow to showcase your business, menus, etc.
- We do reserve the right to edit for consistency of appearance and style across the site, but the intent is for this to be your content.
The same applies to events and to non-profits that hold regular meetings.
- If your event is in and promotes Calvert, is open to the public, and is something residents and visitors would be interested in, if you wish, we may list it and link to your site or Facebook page.
- If your non-profit promotes Calvert in a way that benefits and informs residents, or encourages visitors to come to Calvert, it may be included if you wish.

- To promote and highlight current items of interest in and about Calvert, in a positive manner that encourages our community as a whole and encourages tourism.
- To provides links to other local sites of interest, and more.
