Calvert is a small town of about 1,000 residents located on State Highway 6 between Bryan-College Station and Waco. Its most distinguishing feature is the 37 square block National Historic District, the third largest such district in Texas. Comprising both private homes, churches, and downtown business, the district is an enchanting venture into the architecture of yesteryear. Various self guided tours (both driving and walking) as well as guided group tours (reservation required) are available through the Calvert Historical Foundation.
